I was debating between reserving an late morning or early afternoon trip. One company also offered a mid afternoon white water trip with a meal part way down stream. Has anyone done that? is it worthwhile ? Is it getting too cold and not enough sun in the canyon be late afternoon ? Any advice would be helpful.. Also, is there much difference between the companies ? Thanks

We went on the 12:30 trip in August and only wore a wet suit jacket, wet suit shoes and our shorts. We didn't get cold. The JHWW guides have many years of experience and I highly recommend them. Our fun guide, "Scooter" had six years experience and they take 5 trips a day down the river! Another guide has worked there 30 years!
