Adobe is kicking off its annual Adobe Max conference today with the launch of new AI-powered features across its Creative Cloud apps. New AI features for Photoshop, like automatic background distraction removal and a more powerful Firefly generative AI model,

In a blog post by Photoshop product manager Pam Clark, the company detailed more features for the graphics editing platform, which use Adobe's generative AI model, Firefly. Highlights include a "Distraction Removal" tool within the existing "Remove" tool added last year, which lets you circle objects or people in the background to get rid of them.

I am currently at Adobe Max 2024 in Miami, and among Adobe's multitude of huge announcements across its entire range of software – one of the big new features that caught my eye was an AI-powered Distraction Removal tool for Adobe Photoshop. A brand new tool that is capable of removing either wires or people from images in just one click.
