Parts of the Chicago area Tuesday woke up to rain, rumbles of thunder and even some hail as lake effect showers swept through much of Northeast Illinois, with more rain expected through the afternoon,

CHICAGO - Breezy conditions will continue throughout the day Sunday, with gusts up to 40 mph. Fire danger will be high. Temperatures will remain in the 60s. On Monday, expect cooler temperatures, with highs only in the 50s. Rain is likely, especially in southern areas and near the lake.

CHICAGO - As we settle into the night, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with a chance of rain. Those winds are going to pick up, gusting between 30 to 40 miles per hour and temperatures will dip down to the mid-40s overnight Sunday.
