FEMA is reminding people affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton that they have less than two weeks to apply for individual assistance.

FEMA has extended the deadline for hurricane survivors in Georgia to apply for federal assistance. Instead of having applications due on Jan. 7, residents in all 63 counties now have until Feb. 7 to apply.

FEMA is letting South Carolinians know there is only 2 weeks left to apply for FEMA assistance if you have sustained damage or losses due Hurricane Helene.

The deadline to apply for federal assistance is quickly approaching for South Carolina and Georgia residents affected by Hurricane Helene. Residents only have two more weeks to apply for disaster assistance through FEMA.

FEMA has had disaster survivor assistance teams canvassing the 63 Georgia counties hit hard by the storm. Their teams were in southeast Atlanta passing out flyers and talking with homeowners who may not know they qualify for assistance.

Tennesseans who experienced damages from Tropical Storm Helene have two weeks to apply for federal disaster assistance.
