During a new sit-down conversation with Jeremy O. Harris for Interview Magazine, the filmmaker and screenwriter mentioned offhandedly that he had gone to watch the musical follow-up to the 2019 Joker, which stars Joaquin Phoenix as failed comedian Arthur Fleck and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.

Taxi Driver writer Paul Schrader has decided to weigh in on Joker: Folie à Deux, admitting that he was unable to make it through the DC sequel. He also has nothing nice to say about the movie's leads.

Five years of waiting for just one month in theaters. The film is deemed, by some, as one of the great disappointments of 2024.

It's perhaps no surprise, then, that Joker 2 will be arriving on digital this October 29, according to Variety. That means the movie's theatrical exclusive run will last just 25 days. There's no word on when it will arrive on streaming just yet, though it will probably be soon after the digital release.
