Israeli fighter jets targeted sites in Yemen on Thursday, including the international airport of the capital Sana'a, in response to attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi movement. The Houthi-controlled health ministry said at least six people were killed and 42 injured.

Kamal Adwan is one of the last functioning medical facilities in Gaza’s north, which has been under an Israeli air and ground assault for months.

Medical staff, including the director of the Kamal Adwan Hospital, have also been detained, Gaza health officials said on Saturday. The hospital director, Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, was among the first to report that about 50 people had been killed in Israeli air strikes targeting the vicinity of the hospital on Friday.

The Israel Defense Forces raided and burned a hospital in northern Gaza that the military says served as a Hamas terrorist stronghold. In Jerusalem, the IDF said it intercepted a missile that Houthi rebels had launched from Yemen after deadly strikes from Israel.
