Ruth Chepng'etich absolutely dominated on the streets of Chicago on Sunday morning. Chepng'etich shattered the world record by almost two minutes at the Chicago Marathon on Sunday. The 30-year-old Kenyan won the women's marathon in a record time of 2:09:56.

A year later, the late Kelvin Kiptum’s world record run remains as jaw-dropping as it was at the 2023 Chicago Marathon.

Kenyan athlete, Kelvin Kiptum, became the first human being to run a recognised marathon race under 2:01 when he set the new world record in Chicago in October 2023.
