Recovery and restoration efforts are underway in parts of Rankin County after a tornado caused damage. Tree services and Entergy Mississippi crews were out Monday morning, working to clear the damage and restore power to customers.

One person was injured when a train hit several downed trees in Rankin County.There were as many as seven trees and tree limbs brought down by Sunday's storms when a freight train hit them in the Gulde Shiloh Road area.

The NWS is warning SoCal residents to be prepared as a life-threatening, destructive, widespread windstorm is expected to sweep through much of Los Angeles and Ventura counties Tuesday through Wednesday.
