Ahead of 'The Last Of Us' season 2 premiere, HBO executive Francesca Orsi has revealed how many more seasons of the video game adaptation we can expect.

The Last of Us could run for as long as four seasons according to new comments from a HBO boss. Francesca Orsi, EVP and head of drama at HBO, outlined possible future plans for the Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann-led adaptation in an interview with Deadline.

Of all the video game adaptations in recent years, one that has risen to the top is HBO’s The Last of Us TV series. While the show is yet to release its second season, the executives at HBO are already looking ahead to the endgame of the show.

While the first season of The Last of Us covered the whole of the first video game in the series, it's looking like the second game will take three seasons to adapt.
