WASHINGTON.- Washington State Department of Transportation to implement work zone speed cameras in 2025. According to WSDOT, Starting early 2025 work zone speed camera will be mounted onto trailers and placed in active work zones across the state.

Starting in late February, a work zone speed camera mounted on a trailer will rotate through active work zones across Washington.

Washington drivers crash in work zones more than 1,000 times a year, compelling the Legislature to unanimously approve speed cameras along state highways.

The goal is to reduce speeding, a leading cause of serious injury or death in work zones for both workers and drivers.
