First Alert: Cold day with snow on the way
Snowfall totals and timing are still uncertain, but it could start as early as Thursday night and continue through Friday. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for some of our southern counties. The weekend will filter in temperatures in the upper 30s with lows in the teens to 20s.

With a deep snowpack, clearing skies would lead to lows going well below zero. If the clouds hang, your temp hangs in the 10-15 degree range. As expected, Winter Storm Watches have been issued ahead of the next system. This looks to be a general 3″-6″ snowfall for much of the state.

First Alert Weather Day: Sunny Days & Cold Nights Continue
After a cold & frosty start to our Wednesday look for sunny skies and slightly warmer mid/upper 50s for highs. Temps will again drop to around 30 Wednesday night with frost. Thursday will be a slightly cooler day with plenty of sunshine, followed by chilly 30s again at night.
Frigid temperatures continue, Weather Aware Friday for snow and ice accumulations
Tonight: mostly clear and very cold. Lows in the upper teens to middle 20s. The wind chill will be in the teens. Find ways to stay warm! Tomorrow: High pressure will move north of Alabama on Wednesday continuing to send frigid northerly winds across the state.

A storm will be heading our way late Friday night into Saturday morning, capable of producing snow and perhaps a wintry mix for some. For that reason, we are making Saturday a First Alert Weather Day when the greatest impacts are likely to be felt across our viewing area.
