According to the Laurel County Sheriff's Office, 24-year-old Charles King was traveling in an 'off-road buggy' when he crossed the center line, colliding with another vehicle.

According to Kentucky State Police, a search warrant was being executed at Vanzant Road in Laurel County by the London Police Department. During the search, a police officer shot a man. After failed life-saving attempts, the man was declared dead at the scene by the coroner’s office.

LONDON, Ky. (WAVE) - An officer-involved shooting in Laurel County left one person dead. Kentucky State Police said this happened on Dec. 23 at 11:53 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of Vanzant Road. Officers were executing a search warrant at the home prior to the shooting.
