United Airlines is moving quickly to add Elon Musk's high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi and internet to its entire fleet of almost 1000 aircraft.

United Airlines said on Sunday that a high-speed technology is coming to its passengers earlier than planned after announcing the deal back in September.

The first mainline jet will be outfitted before the end of 2025. But only members of the carrier's loyalty program will get the service free, United said in a statement.

United has announced inflight Starlink Wi-Fi will arrive sooner than anticipated, with the first commercial test flight scheduled next month on an Embraer E-175. The airline plans to equip all of its two-cabin regional aircraft with the technology before the end of 2025.

United Airlines has a lot riding on plans to accelerate its rollout of Elon Musk's Starlink service on its planes.

United is testing connectivity using Starlink satellites next month, with the first commercial flight taking off this spring.

United plans to roll out its first Starlink-equipped plane as early as spring. It joins a handful of other airlines inking deals for Musk's WiFi.
