Gov. Ron DeSantis said the effort by Port Canaveral and its fuel companies "is something that is making a difference."

Hurricane Milton walloped Port Canaveral on a path across Florida from Wednesday night into Thursday and remains among ports in Florida that are closed forcing more cruise cancellations and delays.

That includes all waterside and landside operations, including cruise and cargo vessels, as well as the restaurants located at the port.
