SEATTLE — On Thursday, the Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King & Kittitas counties (Habitat SKKC) will be joining Habitat for Humanity organizations around the world in celebrating President Jimmy Carter’s contributions to the organization. The remembrance will be held at the Olympic Sculpture Park PACCAR Pavilion at 2 p.m.

A memorial was held at the Arnot Mall to honor President Jimmy Carter’s service with Habitat for Humanity. The event included affiliates from The Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben County Habitat organizations.
Habitat for Humanity officials estimate Carter and his late wife for nearly four decades helped build 4,390 affordable homes in over 14 countries.
The former president dedicated decades to volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, helping build an estimated 4,400 homes alongside 160,000 volunteers.
