The champion of this event in 2023 withdrew with three holes to play on the North Course on Thursday after heavy winds forced officials to briefly suspend play.

Some of those names include Ludvig Aberg, Tony Finau, Max Homa, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala and Will Zalatoris. French Olympian Matthieu Pavon will return to defend his title.

So far this season, the University of Texas product has finished T-12 at the American Express and T-15 at the Farmers Insurance Open. Not bad. In his last three starts at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Hossler has a solo third (2022), tied for 11th (2023) and for 14th (2024). Again, not bad.
