Just two days after the mayor of Bellefontaine Neighbors stepped down, the Board of Alderman appointed her replacement.

The City of Bellefontaine Neighbors appointed a new mayor and board president on Saturday, one week after confusion surrounding the resignation of former mayor Dinah Tatman.

Following Dinah Tatman's resignation this week, the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors nominated a new mayor on Saturday during a special meeting held via Zoom.

The resignation followed a whirlwind few days. Tatman first told select supporters she was leaving office, then took it back. On Saturday, aldermen voted to accept her resignation anyway.
