Kansas basketball is taking its court style to the next level with the unveiling of new exclusive uniforms designed by Fear of God founder and creative director, Jerry Lorenzo. The highly-anticipated uniforms will make their debut on February 22 when the Jayhawks face Oklahoma State.

The Aggies revealed the uniforms — designed by adidas — on Friday ahead of the game as part of a tribute to Black History Month. They’re inspired by Lusia Harris, a star at Delta State from 1973-1977 who was the first woman drafted by an NBA team. The side pattern is meant to invoke the tradition of quilting the among African-American community.

After the unveiling, college basketball fans wasted no time sharing their reactions on social media. Many couldn’t help but laugh, pointing out the design — there is no team name on the front, just a “T” on the upper right chest and each player’s number on the middle-left side.

Athletes and fans can always count on the Three Stripes to push the envelope with its designs. Adidas also stays ahead of the curb with performance technology and design language. Even better, they always do a commendable job of celebrating sports history and culture (an integral part of what makes college athletics so important).
