Texas coach Steve Sarkisian is taking a more NFL-style approach with spring football and that doesn't include the annual spring game.

The extension also added a year to Sarkisian's contract. He's set to make $12.3 million in 2031. As reported by the American-Statesman and other media outlets earlier this year, the contract extension that Sarkisian agreed to last month keeps him as one of the highest-paid coaches in the country.
