The change in time zone brought changes to the Bruins’ lineup. Mountainous wingers Riley Tufte (6 feet 6 inches) and Max Jones (6-4) were back in action in Wednesday night’s game against the Avalanche at Ball Arena.

Hearing that the Bruins are making some notable changes to their middle six is not surprising in the slightest. The second line, in particular, has been incredibly quiet early on,

Elias Lindholm is expected to play his second preseason game as he ramps up from an earlier injury. Max Jones and Jeffrey Viel, who both have missed time with undisclosed injuries are listed on the travel roster for the game. The Bruins have 13 forwards listed, but only 12 will play.

After missing a chunk of training camp because of a nagging groin injury, Jones is making a late surge to lock down a spot on the opening night roster.

Not one to let his lines go stagnant, Jim Montgomery is making a couple of lineup changes for the Bruins tilt against the Colorado Avalanche.
