Updating maps of Southern California show where wildfires, including the Palisades and Eaton fires, are burning across Los Angeles.

The two largest, deadliest and most destructive fires in Los Angeles County did not expand overnight but remain dangerous winds expected to blow into Wednesday.

The Eaton and Palisades fires are now the two most destructive wildfires ever recorded in Southern California. Together, the fires have destroyed more than 12,000 structures and consumed nearly 60 square miles since they started on Jan.

For five consecutive days, wildfires fanned by strong winds have ravaged neighborhoods in Los Angeles, destroying more than 12,300 homes and buildings and leaving at least 16 dead. Fresh evacuations were ordered from Mandeville Canyon to the Interstate 405 freeway on Friday evening because of a flare-up of the massive Palisades Fire.
