In Sumter County, people along the Little Withlacoochee River were being encouraged to evacuate Monday as river levels continue to rise.

Officials in Sumter County put out a voluntary evacuation order for those living along the Withlacoochee River on Monday.

Days after Hurricane Milton hit the Bay Area, flooding remains a concern in several areas where river levels keep rising. That includes Hernando County along the Withlacoochee River, where those in low-lying areas are being told to evacuate.

Rivers are starting to crest in Pasco and Hernando counties, with people in low-lying areas near those rivers being told to evacuate.

River flooding continues to be one of the biggest concerns following Hurricane Milton across Tampa Bay, with some communities preparing for the situation to worsen throughout the week.
