Eighty years since troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, the D-Day Memorial is finding new ways to honor the service of World War II veterans, now through the largest expansion in their history.

Thiepval Memorial on the Somme is one of the largest memorials to Britain's war dead. There are 600 British and French graves and the names of 72,000 British soldiers are carved into the stone.
