It's clear the Edmonton Oilers must address the Stanley Cup final hangover, penalty kill woes and more after their disappointing 0-2 start, says Jim Parsons.

The Oilers haven’t led for a single second this season. They’ve scored just one five-on-five goal, credited to Perry after a power play expired and was knocked into the net by Chicago defenceman T.J. Brodie.

They wanted a shot at being the best? Well, now they’re getting it. The best of every single team they’ll face this season, that is. That’s what happens when you’re one of two finalists while everyone else was sent home to watch the rest of the Stanley Cup playoffs on television.

This isn’t about an 0-2 record. It’s about a good team playing, in so many areas, so badly. Individually, lots of players have simply not been ready to start the season — disconnected and waltzing into another campaign.
