A woman allegedly caught cooking her mother’s body parts in the oven of her Kentucky home has been formally indicted on charges of murder and animal torture.

According to the indictment, she reportedly shot her mother, Trudy Fields, in the head and proceeded to stab her multiple times between Oct. 8 and Oct. 9. The Commonwealth argued that Torilena was not acting under the influence of “extreme emotional disturbance for which there was a reasonable explanation or excuse.”

A woman accused of killing her mother and having cooked body parts in her home has now been indicted on a murder charge. Torilena May Fields was indicted by a Kentucky grand jury on a murder charge, according to WKYT.

KSP also found charred body parts inside a stainless steel pot that was “still warm to the touch” in the kitchen’s oven.
