The Hoover Zoning and Planning Commission met Monday night to decide if 30 acres of planned commercial property at the Tattersall Park development will be rezoned as mixed use.

Some neighbors say this is a big concern for their community because it could potentially disrupt this area with an increase in traffic and overpopulation problems.

The proposed expansion would place at least 307 residential units, a hotel and a commercial component on 18 acres north of Publix Super Market at Tattersall Park. Hoover planning and zoning staff recommended the amendment for approval,
