Here is the news – Daniel Bowen
Dec 4, 2024 · @B P Moffit, yes clearly there’s a trend away from mainstream media – newspapers, radio, TV. My view is I still like to dip into them; having more options to go looking for details is very good, but the MSM can give me a good overview of what’s happening.

News and current affairs. Happy end of lockdown, Melbourne! On a related note: Last week Texan Republican senator Ted Cruz weighed into the news that the NT government will mandate vaccines for public-facing workers: I heard similar sentiments from an Australian recently, in the context of Victoria’s vaccine mandates for permitted/essential on-site workers.
Limping – Daniel Bowen
Jan 21, 2025 · Hi Danial, I know the PTUA is in favour of the SRL, but don’t you think that with the state broke, for many years to come, the money would be better spent on bringing accessibility up to the legislation for 2022, and 2032 ASAP, I would guesstimate about $6b, and spending the rest on Medical facilities.

Who decides how often the trains run? – Daniel Bowen
Dec 21, 2024 · Yesterday we experienced 20 minute frequency on the Geelong line for the first time. Free fares: two charts – Daniel Bowen
May 26, 2024 · Free public transport has come up yet again recently, in an ABC online article (with a weirdly incorrect infographic), a segment on 3AW, and another on The Project.. And this morning the Queensland government has announced almost free fares – 50 cents – for six months from August. (Not entirely coincidentally there’s a state election in October.)
Old photos from October 2014 – Daniel Bowen
Oct 29, 2024 · Here’s another of my monthly posts of photos from ten years ago – this time it’s October 2014, fast approaching the November state election.. This was some unconventional advertising for the election – the “Southern Express” spruiking the Coalition government’s upgrades on the Frankston line.
Dumb Ways - Daniel Bowen
Feb 16, 2024 · Why? Honestly I don’t know, but the characters went way beyond the originals after the franchise was sold off in 2021 – almost to ridiculous extremes.. Anybody want to buy a Dumb Ways NFT? (Though even this 2014 life insurance ad from Canada is pretty tacky.). Originally of course, it was just a rail safety campaign.
